About SUSAN LIEBRECT
Lyricist Susan Liebrecht has had a love of church music since her early childhood, and gives glory to God for her ability to share that love of music and the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Having never been married, she resides with her sister, Julie, in Carroll County, Maryland.

During her time as a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie, Maryland, she marveled at the music of Maureen Griepentrog and had the pleasure of collaborating with her in the writing process. This experience made her faith stronger, brought her tremendous joy, and became an unforgettable time of her life. She has assisted Maureen with the engraving process, transferring dozens of compositions from pencil sketches to digital notation.

Professionally, Susan has been self-employed as a freelance court stenographer for the past 37 years. She earned an Associates of Arts degree in Court & Conference Reporting from Strayer College in Washington, D.C., in 1984. Currently Susan is serving as Secretary on the Board of the Maryland Court Reporters Association (MCRA) where she helps to promote her profession through educational seminars, conferences, and outreach.

Within her current congregation, Sue serves on the Women’s Ministry Board and is an active member of the Music Ministry. Her other interests include reading, spending quality time with friends, and enjoying all aspects of entertainment.
